Girl Scouts to the Rescue!

The Brownies and Girl Scouts at a Tokyo area military base decided to get involved with community volunteer work by helping out an animal rescue group. They very kindly chose to help our kitties! These amazing girls donated part of their troupe’s savings and made cute little entertaining cats toys. They also gathered a huge amount of cat food and other great supplies donated by other families on the base. This amounted to 89 kilograms of dry food (nearly 200 pounds!), 114 cans/packets of wet food, several large boxes of toys/blankets/miscellaneous supplies, and 6 big bags of cat litter. Michael, a favorite of our shelter’s younger visitors, came out to meet his kind benefactors. We had a great time playing and talking together about how we can all be responsible caregivers for the animals in and around our lives. See more pictures from the recent Tokyo trip here. Photos also posted on the JCN Meetup site!
We’d like everyone to check out our brand new forum! We are very excited to start filling it up with useful information for people helping cats, so please stop by to register and introduce yourselves. We look forward to being better able to connect people to other people helping cats in their communities.

I do love the manner in which you have presented this situation and it does provide us a lot of fodder for thought. However, coming from what precisely I have observed, I really hope as other opinions pack on that folks continue to be on point and in no way embark on a tirade associated with the news du jour. Yet, thank you for this outstanding piece and whilst I do not necessarily concur with it in totality, I regard the viewpoint.
I will look into the details this weekend, want to dig more on the interview.. will try it when got fully prepared and understand it.. but if anyone have try it please share the experience
