Back!

Back to computer work today. We test sent our current newsletter several times before we could work out the bugs and send it out to everyone. It can be seen here in English, and here in Japanese… Also worked on answering mails from people needing help with rescues–David and I took turns! There are always so many mails to be written, and many of them attached to cases that require problem solving. Somehow tired brain isn’t as satisfying as tired body, when it comes to feeling good about having accomplished the hard work for the day. Takako is working on the details for the fund raising party, and I sent out a bunch of mails inviting students and other people that we know. Would have liked to have had more time to plan ahead, but that always seems to be the case. Our new idea is to have the same style parties every year at around the same time, so that we’ll eventually get it down to a science!

Valerie and Melody have been going on short excursions into the kitten enclosure for play time with the little maniacs, but Mel is not amused by their antics. Fine when she’s the run-jump-pouncer, but unacceptable to be the pouncee. She and her sis will be going out to their new home soon, so it’s not so important that they make friends with the others, but I do like to see them have an opportunity to stretch their legs. They were zipping around the house for a while, but I’m with Mel on the aversion to being treated like a trampoline, and with so much computer work needing to be done, we decided to see if the girls could make do in the enclosure. Val has been a trouper, and except for a few growls, settled in to explore the area. Melody is just starting to be able to relax a little, particularly when she finds a good spot to perch and watch the world.

That’s Buttercup on David’s back, during one of her indoor sessions. The Powerpuff girls have really been favorites of mine, and I look forward to Bubbles’ upcoming visit, when the trio will once again be reunited for a short time. Happy to finally have my blog back up again on the Best Friends Network!
