Accepted a feral mother cat and her six kittens. We got off to a rough start with the people whose shed she gave birth in, but in the end, a volunteer went back out and picked the group up. The kittens are very young (less than a week old, now), and since the mother is feral, we’re just trying to leave her to care for them without interference. She is eating very well, unlike our other feral mom who eats in small bursts, so we think she’s feeling more comfortable than she looks. This brings our kitten count up to a whopping 22! All but the first four are too young to get good pictures of, for adoption–we can’t even check genders of the 10 that are being hovered over by grumpy feral moms. With all turning into climbing, waddling, attention seeking tribbles at about the same time, this should be an interesting place! Praying for some new foster families willing to care for groups of kittens. Classes and kittens and classes, these days. I knew this would be a busy time, and the schedule is due to be even more packed in June, when I add 4 Saturday classes. Some good news for June–we’ll be featured in Cat Fancy magazine!
