Chelsea
Chelsea was rescued as an adult in 2002, after having been abandoned in front of a train station. She was crying loudly at everyone that walked past, and her fur had become blackened from car exhaust, so she may have been wandering around the taxi area for some time. We believe that she was born in 1997, but since she was rescued as an adult, she could be much older. Recurring health issues, such as frequent vomiting and skin conditions, made it difficult to place her in a permanent home but she did stay in a loving foster home for a while. Her foster mom devoted a lot of time and resources to supporting (and researching) Chelsea's special health needs. Chelsea's health started on a downward spiral in late 2010, and despite repeated testing and various treatments, she passed away on February 22, 2011. The vet believed that she was suffering from some type of cancer. Chelsea, nicknamed Chelsea-Bells, was a friendly girl who had much to say to anyone who stopped by for chat. We will miss those long talks!
*Back to Rescue List*

A very slow mover in her final days, we were able to go outside for short walks together, which she really seemed to enjoy!

Sitting in the sun, during our walk down by the little stream...

Having a nice scratch on wood...

Favorite winter place is under kitten room kotatsu (with Zelda)...

...or in front of the kitten room heater.

Chelsea likes the kittens!
