Hansel/Co-co
ADOPTED!
Hansel was rescued from a Hikone TNR site, and came to JCN on October 4, at around 5 weeks of age. He came from a group of 9 kittens
rescued, and it's unclear which of the kittens are siblings. Hansel is friendly and attention seeking. He
had some upper respiratory
symptoms with eye discharge, when rescued, and the sight in one or both
of his
eyes may be permanently impaired. However, he is active, and his
impairment does not cause him problems in getting around. Hansel was
adopted in Tokyo, on 11/13/2009.

12/23 "Finally succeeded in getting a few photos of them. They move so fast!"
12/21 "So far I have only one short video clip of them playing. They
move around so much; also ChaCha is still a bit skittish (and wary of
humans bearing strange objects like cameras). But will try. They sleep
in our layers of futon and blankets with us, so perhaps I can get a
sleeping shot."
12/14 "Mission accomplished: they've both successfully used the litterbox."
12/14 "We're keeping downstairs for now, in the warm part of the house
and away from the ongoing repair work upstairs. Wednesday is still a
little skittish, but [Hansel] is already playing and curling up with
us. We're trying out the names ChaCha and CoCo—tea and
coffee—respectively. Neither has used the litterbox yet (that I
can tell) but they both have healthy appetites."
12/13 "The kittens were absolutely quiet for the whole trip. Amazing.
Now they're exploring and mewing. A little frightened and disoriented,
I imagine."
