Veranda Enclosure

The veranda enclosure was built by hand, and is next on the list for a re-build. The enclosure was made from a strong wooden frame, which is surrounded by wooden lattice frames and chicken wire. These have weakened over time, and we're hoping to be able to replace the surrounding structure with more permanent building materials. For the time being, the kitties living on the veranda have access to an indoor room and to fresh air and sunshine on a constant basis. This provides an entertaining and comfortable living environment for kitties waiting for their forever homes, as well as those having to stay in shelter long-term.

The Veranda enclosure houses the largest number of our more unsociable kitties, since it allows them to view visitors from a distance. Friendly kitties unable to fit into either of the downstairs groups are also included in the veranda group.
