Willy 
ADOPTED!
Willy was found abandoned on a
university campus, at only 1 week of age, on July 29. He was taken to a
clinic for emergency intervention and then bottle fed until he could
eat on his own. After his stay at the clinic, Willy went into foster
care, staying with Alice,
and both were adopted out together in Tokyo on 10/18/2009.

12/3/10 - Life is great with Alice and Willy. Willy has grown a
lot
and Alice is still smallish, as you predicted. Both are fine. Willy has
a sensitive stomach it seems since he always had a bit of blood in his
stool whenever we gave him wet food...even if it was
hypoallergenic.
But for the last 7 months or so, he does fine with Royal Canin
Sensivity Control, which Alice eats too as it is hard to feed them
separately. I also give Alice the wet version, and when Willy comes
around sniffing, I add a smidgin to his dry version and he is quite
happy with that. Willy, like all cats has his idiosyncrasies. He
is
the bold and aggressive one, or so it would seem, but he tends to be
frightened by loud and unexpected things. And he has this deep
meow
like a female cat in heat that comes when he is in room and seems to be
looking for one of us. Alice has her same high pitched squeal,
often at
4 in the morning. It is often not clear what she wants, but mostly it
is for me to pretend to be a cat and chase her, whereupon she always
gives up and jumps into her favorite basket and purrs. She seems to
live the 4-6 AM slot to roust me from my slumber!!!!! She is
still her
cautious self, but now climbs into bed between us when Willy is not
around. Usually after 1 AM, when the YUKA DAMBO automatically goes
off. She defers to him in most things, and yet they are always
playing. Thank you for bringing them into our life!
2/12 ...we have been getting used to parenting these two precious
babies you brought us. They are both doing well. Past the
worms. Getting over a little cold---they were vaccinated twice
but they said it is probably a bacterial thing as the vaccination is
for viral infections. They are always running around the house at
al hours of the time, drinking water from the faucet, just like a video
I once sent you that was circulating on the Internet. Alice has become
much more calm, though when they had to stay in the
hospital after the operation, she was quiet and withdrawn. Willy
was super friendly to everyone. But the last time we took Willy,
he was freaked being at the doctors. Well, anyway, what cats love
to go to the doctors? They have grown a bit since you saw them. As you
predicted, Alice is a small cat. She plops herself down in front of me
and purrs for minutes at a
time. Willy has this habit of sucking the fleece blanket....and
of course kneading his paws. I wonder if he was separated earlier
from his mother?
10/20 ...the dry food has suddenly disappeared. They are now eating
it.
The wet? Hmmm...Not sure, but guess I will put it down in the AM,
then after an hour remove it and try again when I come back.
Walked in and found willy on the sink, curious about it. I turn it on a
trickle, and what do you know. He starts to drink it. And caught
Alice drinking water and eating the dry stuff s too. Read that
cats may prefer ceramic bowls. Maybe will switch tomorrow.

10/19In addition to this morning's report:
--They are both very playful.
--One or both of them seem to have used the [litter] box....
-- Just placed down an empty shopping bag. Willy climbed in and was
playing inside. Then he left and Alice took her time inside with Willy
playing on the outside of the bag.
--Today Alice was in the cardboard box I made.
--Also, both Willy and Alice were sleeping together this morning in
that narrow space under the table (above the drawers).
..................
Just got a cardboard box and cut a narrow hold in the long side. Put
the blanket in and Alice crawled in.
Then out.
