Yumi


Yumi was found living near the train station in Yasu, with her mother and 3 siblings. She was the least friendly of the kittens, and had a difficult time adjusting to life in the shelter. We eventually released her to live outside, due to the severe amount of stress that she was suffering living in the enclosures. A local woman decided that she wanted to help Yumi, and began using treats to gradually encourage Yumi to come to her house. Within about 6 months, Yumi was living happily inside the house with the woman. Yumi rarely goes out now, but we do see her occasionally. She has gained a healthy amount of weight, and looks beautiful.
